The Borg & Aquilina families wanted to broaden their business horizons by going to the United States and opening up a vegetable wholesaling business which grew to become a very large business concern in the States.
The 2 families together branched out into fuel station owners with adjoining retail stores, which became a success story.
Eventually they repatriated themselves to Malta branching out into importation and distribution of FMCG products (food, drink, healthcare and washing detergents).
In 1950, the Borg family took over the entire business concern and continued to expand it, bringing it to what it is today.
